Van Tech Cafe Racer
Van Tech Cafe Racer .
This bike is so cool , it could nearly be considered a piece of art. I'm not sure whether i want to ride it or hang it on the wall !.
Van Tech kits were produced in a variety of configurations from the 60's to 70's". Van Tech's idea was to build and supply study featherweight frames that could produce race winning results. The frames could be configured for TT or off road racing and had great success in both.
The company worked out of factory in California and originally sold the bikes as a complete unit , it was only the later stages that frame kits were offered for sale.
The bikes were offered with variety of small engines .This one here looks to be fitted with a honda 90 engine and looking at the carb , suggests that it was far from standard.
Check out the original advertisement when they were sold as kits.
